Your partners in raising wise citizens

With how technology has changed through the decades, parents with children of different age groups share similar challenges - how can they better manage technology in their homes?

The spark for this idea came from the support of fellow mothers when Carol Loi was a new mother who was struggling to adjust to new roles at home and at work; night time parenting, nursing, pumping at work and new responsibilities in office.

The different mothers coming alongside who had older children shared their experiences and encouragements with her as she adjusted to motherhood.

Leaving the public service, Carol Loi started Village Consultancy in 2017 with a hope that people can learn together in a virtual kampung, raising a healthy and vibrant village around the next generation and grandchildren.

Together with her daughter Nicole Soh, the duo at Village Consultancy bring together educators, families, youths and children to navigate the various issues of life together.

Village have served thousands of families and their children in various countries with practical tips on mental toughness, leadership, and communication.

In particular, Village seeks to put media & technology in the proper place in the family; they should be used to keep learning, and not be allowed to steal precious family time and adversely impact relationships.

Faith is central to the lives of mother and daughter, and they are open about that. Their work is rooted in evidence-based frameworks, their academic and professional certifications.

Our Logo Story

Red, blue and yellow are primary colours. These primary colours are used to create more colours (purple from red and blue, green from yellow and blue, orange from red and yellow).

When the colours come together, they form the shape of a guitar pick, used to create and maintain a harmonious society.

Fathers and mothers provide stability. As families are created, so are more colours. Collectively as families, we create colours and help society to flourish.
